Maranatha Music Productions was birthed in March 2016 with the purpose of teaching music to children and young people and producing top quality audio recordings of emerging artists.  At it's heart will be the Christian motivation and calling, but the music will span a variety of genres.

A significant proportion of the teaching will take place in schools in the Orange Farm area.  Much of the training will be delivered to youngsters from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Bishop Peter said, 'We see this as a good opportunity to bring quality music education to local schools, but also to showcase talent that would not otherwise get the chance.  Recordings will be published online for the world community to enjoy and comment on.  The service is being provided by committed Christians.'

The launching team was commissioned at the Easter Prayer Conference 2016.  They are:

Tonyo Fanana - Treasurer, Piano / Keyboard tutor.
Papi Malakoane - Secretary
Obed Sekhonyane - Organiser, Drums / Percussion tutor.
Lolo Mokone - Saxaphone, Electric / Acoustic Guitar tutor.
Buhle Sibanzda - Assistant Organiser, Choreography, Vocal tutor.
Bishop Peter Sekhonyane - Project Director, Vocal coach

The project is registering with the Royal School of Music, London and SETA.
